Both the Vicar and Preacher (left and right) are still based on the M7 Priest chassis, but they've been fashioned as casemate style tank destroyers, rather than open top, or turreted. Their weapons, however, are based on the M10 Wolverine and M36 Jackson's guns. Making them destroyers, rather than artillery or tanks.
Holy shit! Love the textures and camo schemes you did! Great great work! Can't decide which I like the most. I think the Vicar wins, cause of the leg colors. Perfectly American looking! Like the liitle Joe! Such a great touch! And all the liitle decals...yay
Welcome back! Hope you had a nice summer trip! I'm actually leaving tomorrow for a few days to hang w/ friends. Kids, dogs, pool & BBQ, oh my!
The Vicar is definitely a winner. Couldn't bring myself to obscure the design w/ distracting camo. IMO the M-10 Wolverine styling it shares is the most 'German looking' of all American made AFVs, having all those sharp angles, so it made sense to go w/ the the most distinctly American colors. And I agree, the end result totally works.
Still very much like the badass 90mm gun on the Preacher, and the way you sliced and topped off the shin armor. I was amazed, when zooming in, to see that you had actually rifled the inside of the barrel! That's just sick attention to detail. Love it.
BTW, I tried the brown patches on the Preacher as white -like snow camo- and it looked pretty cool, but just didn't make sense w/ this dry desert-like background texture.
Priest isn't done much justice here, zoomed out from this angle and legs tucked in, 105mm gun forshortened, looks almost shy. Probably deserves some extra views posted so we can see that lovely interior. But there is still the Iquisitor that needs it's own spotlight. Wanna illlustrate it w/ the Tesla cannon firing. Have a fun idea for an emblem on the side too.
ALSO I can send you a Higher Rez version of this, if you like...
Please, don't be discouraged. Just have fun and enjoy the creative challenge of the genre.
He is kinda sick tho. Was zooming in on one of these and was amazed to see that the barrel is actually rifled!!! I ought to post some alternate views of the Priest Hex -interior is fully rendered! But all that is way beyond the call of duty. He just gets off on hyper detail. Lucky for me, AND OPDS fans alike.
