Midnight- The General
Original character design from "The Jestyr's Vanguard".
Midnights past history is the subject of much speculation by her enemies. Few spies have ever returned from the citadel and kingdom of Fangshadow, her home and command. What little intelligence has been gleaned about the fearsome commander is most often retrieved from the lips of dying Imperial soldiers, expending their final breaths on harshly obtained battle reports. In total, this much has been verified in corroborating testimonies:
-She is the chief overseer of and highest ranking officer in Necronomicas personal army, second only to the rogue sorceress herself.
-She possesses the appearance of a tall and moderately powerful women in her early thirties, but the true extent of her age and strength reach towards fantastical dimensions.
-She stands as evidence of a peak in Necronomicas talent for meta-human enhancement.
-Her weapons of choice are always of an absurdly improbable scale (usually an executioners axe, but she has been sighted with broadswords and lances).
-The skill, speed and power with which she dexterously wields her gargantuan arms is proof of her unnatural gifts -physically impossible for a woman of her size.
-She takes great pride in her appearance, and wont hesitate to let several pages be cut to ribbons by arrow or sword simply so that her black armor can be repolished mid-battle.
-Her cruelty towards opposing armies is matched only by the draconian authority she lords over her own troops and underlings.
-Her single companion is another warrior by the name of Dusk, who fights at her side clad in crimson armor.
-Together, Midnight and Dusk are a juggernaut of violence, greatly feared by even their own ranks, who know from experience to allow the pair a generous berth when they fight in tandem. It was once sung that a fully armored Imperial cavalry regiment charged the pair, believing them exposed, only to be slaughtered down to a man and mare.
-Midnights relationship with Dusk appears to have an overtly carnal element, as the two have been spied lapping blood from each others flesh and armor amidst the carnage of battle.
-She is particularly ruthless towards Imperial Officers and soldiers with a reputation for chauvinism. An overconfident battlefield taunt of a distinctly sexual tone will not simply cause a fighting man to be cloven into halves, but torn limb from limb into consecutively smaller chunks, while the victim yet lives and screams for mercy.
-Her seductively form hugging armor is designed as a lure for taunts. Apparently her loathing of lewd remarks is surpassed by a desperate craving to mete out unspeakable retributions upon those who spawn them.
-She is deathly afraid of her master, the Sorceress Necronmica.
Thanks for the tip, man. Just want to make sure some of the pattern detail is visible.
As for theft, that's always a risk. I stopped adding watermarks because I think it interferes w/ the art. I guess having a smaller pixel image is some deterent, but I'm more concerned w/ people enjoying the work.
I tend to post stuff really large because my monitor is so huge and I enjoy seeing more detail. Thieves will be thieves; so be it.
The designs on her armor are beautiful. I didn't really like the scythe, but her all posture and and body-armor are just great :> The shadings are done beautifully! I don't think I'd ask such a stern faced girl out for a date, unless I want to loose my own head
