Figured the fledgling gallery could use some more sci-fi stuff.
So here's what's been keeping me busy after hours recently.
The tricky part is that she transforms -so I've tried to make sure that the proportions still work in robot form.
Still unsatisfied w/ the lower leg portion (if you can tell which part that is on the bike mode). You can see how I fussed over it on the left. Really should rework it again before doing tighter line art and color. On the other hand, maybe just better to commit and move on.
The final art will probably feature 3/4 views of the 2 configurations in a single scene. Maybe some graphic motif in the background rather than a cityscape. At least for now.
This is the most realistic, schematic-like illustration of a transformer that I have ever seen on this site. The layout helps show just how the idea progressed, and the images manage to seem clean and organized while still clearly being pencil. Well done.

Heh, you could say that. Draws more inspiration from Pris' transforming motorcycle mech in Bubblegum crisis. But pilot to mech size ratio is more dramatic here than in either case.
+The pilot sits in a reclined position, ala Kaneda bike, except under a roofed cockpit, and without wearing much armor.
I wanted the wheels to actually be functional in flight mode: Tires lock in place and rims spin to generate lift. I'll get into more detailed specs and features under the finished art comments.
the bike design is ok...the shapes remind me of Giger....
have you ever ridden a bike?...cause there are some elements missing...(headroom for a rider...)
and...
-peddles
-brakes
-etc.
(unless they are inside the vehicle...?...that would make the scale of this design at about a small truck!)
is this intended for a human rider? or is this a shape shifting transforming alien w/ an independent intelligence?...( who transforms into a wheeled vehcile in an atempt to live among us in secrecy......while looking like a confused aggressive creature from venus...)
Far future design, so its going to look unconventional. Think outside your concept of an average bike.
Rider is reclined, so headroom is not an issue. Head is somewhat enclosed in the canopy. Driver's feet in this view would be behind the leg assembly. You're right about scale, about the size of a large sedan or small truck. Standing rider would be about eye level w/ bike canopy.
I could go on, but something tells me I'm not going to sell you on this design or anything else.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Must stop procrastinating final art for this. Doing easier projects first, and working my way over.
