Is that chalk?
Try charcoal and gouche on brown paper... that't what he used for that piece, I'm75% sure...
There's nothing wrong with academia. You can learn allot from walking in someone else's shoes...
crazy...
you're already older than Schiele, Pac, Morrison, Hendrix, Biggie and possibly Jesus ever got to be, hahaha....

When you put it like that, I actually feel glad to be 30! Wierd...

Been so long, it might have been charcoal pencil for the linework? The color was maybe a mix of gouche and acrylic. Paper was brown and very textured. Do I even know where the original is?

A few years back, the wife and I hit a Schiele museum in the Czech repub. It was real thin on his actual work, but they had art by modern Czech students that knocked my f*in socks off.

Thank you kindly, but I can't take all the cred. I was doing my best to replicate Schiele's linework and style.

He was a genuine nut. Love him.

The hands are what caught my attention straight away. I for the life of me have never been able to draw hands. You really do have skill. Everything about this drawing stands out. I agree, the lines are fantastic!

Keep this up!

Much appreciated. Fun to take on someone else's style for a change. It was a cool experience to tread in his footsteps. Can almost feel yourself getting in his head.

There's some new flick coming out about Klimpt w/ Johnny Malkovich in the lead. Looks like Schiele's going to be feautured in there too. Hope they do 'em jusice.
