Sicilian stroll by Rob-Cavanna Sicilian stroll by Rob-Cavanna
pyew pyew pyew!

Another fine piece of work done for Operation: Dragon Slayer by :iconflaketom:

Stuart Biped mech was modeled by Thomas in Sketchup and rendered w/ V-Ray.

Minor design comments and final retouching done by meself in Photoshop.

You can see his original post here: [link]

Many more petrol-mech morsels en-route (tho I always say that, and months keeps zoomin' by!)

Cheers, my friends! :peace: :D

Gah, I never commented on this one either?! D : Looks really awesome, but then you know I've got a soft spot for the more exotic biped designs and these utilitarian camo schemes! Somehow the caltrops scattered around the scrubby plain just gives it an extra punch of plausibility for me...Also really digging the impression of phosphorus tracer rounds caught split-second in mid-stream. Beautiful work from Tom, as always!

Thomas' experimentation w/ V-Ray is certainly not going to hurt the ongoing OPDS collab!
The MG muzzle flash and tracer rounds were one of my few post-render additions.
My thought was that a touch of glow on the frontal armor would break up the monochrome body color and give more dimension to it.
A 5 minute edit, et voila... it's an 'action' pose. I need to start thinking more along these lines, pushing the presentation.
Especially if Thomas is upping his game like this!

And I wish I could use Sketchup that well! Geez, I'm turning as green as the tank!
