On the Subject of AI-generated Art.
Let me cut to the chase: I'm having a lot of fun with AI tools. lol. But clearly, not everyone is feeling the same. Compelled to share this, for educational reasons, and to stave off any witch hunts spawned by imperfect knowledge of the subject. Let me get on the record here: it's possible that i've spent maybe 100 hours (or much more) by now, getting to know the software, its strengths and weaknesses, etc.. What I've posted on DA is maybe 5% of all the AI work I've done. So feel like i have some knowledge of what's going on with this thing, from the point of view of someone who has enjoyed this productivity booster. I'm frankly shocked to see so much anger and fear towards AI art. Especially from professional people that I really respect, who seem to be doing some really toxic gatekeeping, probably without even realizing it. People who ironically rely on digital tools for their livelihood every day. AI is just another digital tool. It's a shortcut. But in all walks of life, there

Artists wanted for OPDS tabletop game!
Hey folks,
The WWII mechs of OPERATION: Dragon Slayer are stomping their way from here onto your tabletop for some gritty tactical war game action! This is a chunky project, so I’m looking for artists with the right stuff to help get this thing done in 2019.
This would be a paying gig, with a semi-flexible budget depending on the artist and how much they can take on. There is lots to do! The artwork would be featured on playing cards of various size used in the game itself, so it must look decent in a smaller format. Quality is important, but equally or more so is quantity!
I’m looking for artists who can execute in the customa
OPDS tabletop game in the works!
Hey Paisanos!
Sorry it has been a while. Just wanted to give a shout for all my OPDS fans, old and new, that I've been going strong on adapting OPERATION:Dragon Slayer to a tactical tabletop game. Many of you have asked about it over the years, and I finally got excited about making this real. Research into similar types of games has convinced me that it can be done while retaining the original spirit of the video game concept i always had in mind.
ATM, I've got a foundation for the rules and gameplay that I feel happy with, but still lots to be done. Recently commissioned ~SirInkman (https://www.deviantart.com/sirinkman) to create some lovely isometric environmental art fo

You left out some form of vechicle for quick traversing of the map. I am not talking bout fast travel. Like a small hover bike or something that can pass through tight spaces, you know quicken the pace. Ridable mechs is a must have itm but be more for combat situations.
